Descrizione Opera / Biografia
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION: The ”video-processing work” of Shakespear’s operas is an anti-journey of exploration into the theme of the multiplicity of forms of desire, especially in Hamlet (defined by Lacan - specifically - a ”tragedy of desire”). Fragmentation is intended to make perceptible, in the words, in the technique of editing and in graphics, the radical break between meaning and image: first acoustic, and only then visual.BIOGRAPHY: Enrico Stiaccini lives and works in Florence. After the musical and artistic training he worked at the ”Teatro dell’Opera”, in Rome. Since his youth he participated in the cultural life of his city, where he has collected numerous artistic experiences, mainly in the theater. The interest in philosophy and issues related to linguistic research (in literature, poetry and drama production) is intertwined in his work, with the passion of the ”say”, of the music and ”video-graphics ”. All these elements created a new horizon of exploration, experimentation and transformation, which find in ”video-art” and ”video-poetry” the most fascinating expressions.
