Premio Combat Prize

I started to approach music at a very young age through all that I could make sounds with: spoons, pans, glasses, the radio, recorders that I dismantled to understand where the music was coming from. After this Dadaist start my direction moved towards the guitar, an instrument I am truly in love with for its infinite possibilities that it offers, in all the eclectic experimental contests. My work consists of remoulding the wave sounds with which we interact with; all around us there is a world of vibrations that to those more lax could seem ordinary, but instead fosters in its inside the information necessary to understand the nature our civilization, our lifestyle, the reality that we are living and also the spiritual eclipse in which humanity dwells, that brings us to lead an existence far from all that is natural. My musical research is also an introspective research with which I bring forth emotions, psychosis, ruminations. The listening of the soundscapes that I create persuades a hypnagogic state, from that we can fall-in a sort of dreamlike, almost Grand-Guignolesque journey, and it dwells our deepest and most arcane Id. I am a musical dramaturge, a nihilist hallucinated by the void and the unfathomable.

Ho cominciato ad approcciarmi alla musica già in tenera età attraverso tutto ciò che emetteva suoni: cucchiai, padelle, bicchieri, radio, registratori che puntualmente smontavo per capire da dove provenisse la musica. Dopo questa iniziazione dadaista mi sono avvicinato alla chitarra, strumento di cui sono tuttora innamorato per le infinite possibilità che offre, in tutti i contesti eclettico-sperimentali. Il mio lavoro consiste nel riplasmare le onde sonore con cui entriamo in contatto; attorno a noi c’è un mondo di vibrazioni che ai più disattenti può sembrare banale, ma che invece custodisce al suo interno le informazioni necessarie per comprendere la natura della nostra civiltà, del nostro stile di vita, della realtà nella quale viviamo e anche dell’eclissi spirituale in cui l’umanità dimora, che ci porta a condurre un’esistenza lontana da tutto ciò che è naturale. La mia ricerca musicale è anche ricerca introspettiva con cui esterno emozioni, psicosi, elucubrazioni. L’ascolto dei soundscapes che creo inducono ad uno stato ipnagogico, da cui possiamo sprofondare in una sorta di viaggio onirico ai limiti tra il granguignolesco e l’esoterico il magico e lo psicologico, una sorta di esplorazione intrapsichica negli erebi in cui abita il nostro ES più ombroso e arcano. Sono un drammaturgo musicale, un nichilista allucinato dal vuoto e dall’insondabile.
