Premio Combat Prize

Nani Puspasari is an Indonesian artist, illustrator and designer living in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated with a Master of Fine Art from the RMITin 2010 and received 1st winner of Bank of Queensland Encouragement Awards in student painting category, also silver for Australian Illustrator Awards 2012. Her work line is based on personal childhood memories, nature, animals, surreal world, fictional creatures, popular culture and notions of feminity to communicate feelings of innocence, naivety, loss and sorrow. This artwork draw upon fairy tales, fable and childhood memories, creating the visual poem of where are no boundaries between humans and animals. Grown up in the house full of bird, butterflies and cat makes Nani Puspasari believe if sometimes animals are able to communicate with people and the characters end up learning from one another.
