Santa Teresa in Ecstasy
The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa is one of the greatest accomplishments of the entire Baroque art. The facial expression of Santa Teresa picks up right the moment of intense physical pain mixed with pleasure described by her in the ”Book of Life” (1562) in which she describes as an angel appeared to him in a dream and across his chest an arrow of divine love causing a feeling of pain and joy simultaneously leaving faint and suspended in the air, levitating above the clouds.
The mouth of the Santa is sealed and the instant of ecstasy is interrupted, Santa Teresa holds the breath that causes your pleasure ...... masterpiece of Baroque art is reinterpreted and transformed into a new language to capture an aesthetic contemporary.

2012-2014 Stay in the sculptor Fabrizio Carrara Lorenzani. Italy.
