Premio Combat Prize

Artwork description: These engravings represent my search for diferent expressions of water from personal fotographic material.
My aim is to find and explore abstraction in real life images.
Biography: I studied Fine Arts in Hampshire College,Mass., U.S.A, and took additional courses in sculpture, photography and engraving in schools in Mexico, the ”Art Students league” in New York and the ”San Antonio Art Institute” in Texas.
For the last two years my work has evolved around liquid images as a means to encourage a certain contemplative exercice from the viewer. I have explored these in the graphics, painting and video techniques.
Some of this work has been selected in different biennials throughout this country and abroad and has been shown in diferent collective exhibits. I was able to present it in a recent solo show at the ”Graphics Museum of Toluca in Mexico and will itinerate it to the Antropological Museum of Xalapa, The Pagaza Museum in the Estado de Mexico as well as the J. P.Posada Museum in Aguascalientes Mexico.
