Premio Combat Prize

Tom Fitzgerald is an artist living in County Limerick, Ireland
He retired from his position as Head of Sculpture in Limerick School of Art & Design in 2000, to pursue his own work.
His practise includes sculpture, drawing, installation and temporary environmental interventions.                                       He also undertakes public and private commissioned work.
He has collaborated with Architects Murray O Laoire in projects for the University of Limerick and for the Irish Pavilion at EXPO 2000 in Hannover.
In 1977 he was a founder member of EVA
He has exhibited widely in Ireland and also in Europe and the US.
He was elected to Aosdana in 2001.
A book of his satirical drawings, The Celtic Zoo, was published by Occasional Press in Oct 2014.
