Premio Combat Prize

Katarzyna Wieczorek was born in 1991, Zawiercie. In 2016 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice with honours.
Both a human and his closest surroundings are in the centre of my interest. I am doing my best to show seemingly ordinary, simple and enjoyable situations but unexpectedly, I impart anxiety. I connect realistic and abstract elements. A real and authentic character collides with simplified, synthetic and unreal background. I care about my works not to be literal and have the other meaning. “Anxiously quiet” is the atmosphere I would like to achieve in my works.
