Descrizione Opera / Biografia
Investigating the suspension and dilation of time, Strike establishes the parameters of an ongoing game or duty whose rules and intention are elusive. The resounding echo of the bouncing ball fills the space, punctuating the passage of time and fulfilling the title of the piece, endlessly striking the floor and the ceiling. A sort of vanitas, the work appears to affirm the futility of the player’s repeated gesture before ultimately reaching its definitive climax in the final frame.
