Oil painting on paper. Dry brush technique.
Dry brush is a painting technique where a paint brush is relatively dry but still holds paint. A very thin layer of color is applied to a paper.
Dry brush is layered layer after layer and reworked with an eraser, at this point it is possible to incorporate different lighting effects and details. Images painted with a dry brush appear very similar to a photo.
I am a Lithuanian artist, painting realism, my main subject are Animals. In my work I want to show their uniqueness, expression and emotion. I use various painting techniques, like pastel, oil on canvas, charcoal, graphite, however in the last 6 years I became extraordinarily interested in painting with oil on paper, using dry brush technique.
