Artwork description / Biography

I started with a stone twice as large, but it decided at a certain moment to break in the middle. From the resulting three fragments I combined two, with Incision as the result. The name Incision refers to the cut in the larger fragment. This cut strengthens the tension of the curved surface that splits open, just as the skin under the scalpel of the surgeon.
I am a sculptor after a life as an architect and information technologist. I am born in 1938, worked as an architect from the 1970s through 2000. Next to sculpting I also did paintings, photography, film and video, web development and IT-development.
