Manss Aval is known for his minimalist and serene photography and abstract expressionist paintings that brim with free, gestural strokes and a rich palette. His work radiates emotive energy and centers on contour, structure, symmetry and tactility, redefining the boundaries between photography and painting. His oeuvre presents a unique intersection of arts and science. His geometric works extend centuries of Iranian artistic tradition in intricate patterns. He counts Escher, Kiarostami and Vasarely among the artists influencing him.
Manss has exhibited extensively in over 70 solo and group shows. He is recognized by over 50 prestigious national and international awards and featured in art books and magazines. Manss has recently also launched a popular fashion line on Vida.
