Matteo J. Coccia is a graphic designer and visual artist.
Born and raised in Italy, his studies are initially projected to theater and scenography, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and then focused on design. He graduated at European University of Design (UED) in 2014, and began his career as freelance graphic designer and full-time artist.
Direct yet conceptual. Provocative and engaging. Design for brands, publications, and people. His creative approach is to find points of tension behind the idea he’ve been assigned or being interested in.
His work is impregnated by a strong minimalism, which leads to a breakdown of reality, and a study of color that fights with a monochromatic soul. The illusion of perspective in a bidimensional world, where everything can be seen differently.
