Irena
Lawruszko
Irena Lawruszko was born in 1992 in Tarnopol, Ukraine. In
2017 she graduated Faculty of Arts in University of Maria
Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland with Master Degree in Printmaking
(specialised in intaglio techniques) with ph.D. Alicja
Snoch-Pawlowska as a promoter. The same year she started ph.D.
studies on Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She gets her ispiration
from old and decayed architecture that has always made her
fascinated. Her main goal is to show how many emotions it can carry
and how much she can express through those buildings. Seemingly
closed architectural forms start to gain specific character when
being set in very particular reality, carrying meaning of past times.
They become silent witnesses, signs of the history.
