Christina Gednalske is an artist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota (USA), living and working between Phoenix, Arizona (USA), and Florence, Italy. Her work uses various mediums – video, performance, photography, painting, and writing – to examine presence through body, memory, and place. She was selected as a finalist in the Video & Animation category for the Celeste Prize 2017 and Premio Celeste 2014, and has shown in the United States, Italy, England, and South Korea. Her work has been included in contemporary art exhibitions in renowned institutions such as the Museum of Anthropology and the Museum of Natural History “La Specola” in Florence and the Etruscan Academy Museum (MAEC) in Cortona, Italy. Christina received her BA in Art from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa (USA), and her MFA in Studio Art from Studio Arts College International (SACI) in Florence, Italy.
