Artwork description / Biography

I have graduated in painting, finished the postgraduate study in sculpture and got PhD in visual communication.
I developed strong skills in many areas and on many different projects and creating in different media more than 30 years including artistic, research and commercial.
One of my loves is discovering connections in fields of visual and verbal communication, mythology and symbols, consciousness, human perception and behaviour. I am applying her knowledge in her creations and lectures. Among others, I had created more than 30 book illustrations and had exhibitions in Berlin, NewYork, Ljubljana, Maribor, Belgrad and Zagreb. I am lecturing Art, Illustration and Visual communication at different Universities in Slovenia and abroad (Istanbul, Sofia, Lisbon).
I have been creating in different media for the last 25 years. They all affected me and became the inseparable part of my work. I am not a painter, illustrator, designer or conceptual artist … my medium is everything what I can use; but lately painting portraits and emotional paintings in the sense of enlightening the reality. A medium is only a tool/ expression I use in a given moment. It is clear goal that is important for me in artistic communication because it enables the recipient to receive the message fully objective in the intended form, not subjectively and full of individual interpretations.
Lately I gave myself back to painting and discover things I never know; how did Leonardo da Vinci made such a divine fluid, how did Boticcieli play such a sweet music in his painting, why do we fell in so much power in front of Turner painting and last but not least why do we fell so soft and tender in front of Gustav Klimt.
