Loyane approaches her practice embracing the combination between handcraft abilities, especially knitting, with the merging of technology. She seeks through the knitting to explore its capacity of creating threads within the connection of points, which can be related to parameters of a digital interface.
The progressive incorporation of digital tools allows her to transform objects in real and virtual capacities and establish the differences in their characteristics, meanings, and perceptions. The immersion of the object, or even an act, into a digital environment generates a dimension raising questions regarding the reality of materiality, in terms of questioning the forms, textures, and scales of objects and spaces. The handcrafted process applied in a digital approach gives a better understanding of the interest, specifically in how the object can move into the spatial media and its delimitations.
