Premio Combat Prize

Mia Vucic, born 1981 in Zagreb, Croatia.
Her occupations are graphic art, graphic design and education.
EDUCATION
2005 - graduates at the Faculty of Design, Department of Graphic Design (Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb)
2010 - finishes Postgraduate Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (Department of Graphics and Printmaking - mentor: Nevenka Arbanas)
ACTIVITIES
During 2009 and 2010 worked as an associate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. From 2012 works as a drawing lecturer at Trinom.
(drawing lectures for future architecture students). From 2010 she is a member of HDLU (Croatian Association of Artists).

Artwork description:
”Behind the pixel 2” is a part of serie of works all of which are demonstrating the same theme. The exact border between the real and virtual world is becoming more and more difficult to find. The two of them are becoming interchangeable and we all have to find out where that personal border lies for each of us.
The work is made out of parts of software interface from different social media and computer programmes we use in our everyday lives combined with a pencil drawing.
