Descrizione Opera / Biografia
This painting was created as a reaction to what the notions of a female are in the western world, especially locally to the country I come from. Being a mother is still considered the epitome of femininity, the work has a text quote which I wrote all around it on the outside edge of the deep edge canvas I used, that reads: ”Women live their lives month by month, waiting for the blood that sustains our fears or joys, our lust is curbed by the pain that signifies our womanhood, the doubts and worries that make us ourselves, triumphant”.
