I understand my work as visual communication. Express thoughts, feelings and convey to the viewer. Sensitize for a friendly togetherness. The superficiality, oppose dulling. Ask questions. My life experience led me to my view of things, which may not be valid for the viewer. Therefore I like to leave the answer open. Take a stand without following absolutism. Doubt belongs to it. Full of thoughts, longing for improvement, I give the optimism a high priority. The creative process is for me a journey into the world of the imagination, at the same time an intellectual one. Social topics are taken up critically, quietly admonishingly or constructively. Do not shock, but to make people think, is my goal. Philosophical and psychological considerations are artistically implemented.
Vita
Born on 18.10.1957 in Neuss
1976 to 1978 Fachoberschule für Gestaltung in Düsseldorf with a six-month internship at the advertising agency TEAM / BBDO.
1978 - 1983 Studied visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf with a very good diploma in 1983.
1980 - 1988 under the name of the husband Lieven from 1995 - 2016 and under the name of the 2nd husband Flint artistically active. Around 1000 paintings in Surrealism / Realism, privately owned by art collectors not only in Germany but also in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Holland, Spain, USA and Brazil, were created during this time.
1985 to early 1991 graphic designer in the field of data processing, city of Neuss. Screen text program of the city of Neuss was graphically constructed and maintained.
1991 Stay abroad in South America, mainly Brazil. Contact with local artists, occupancy of a seminar of an art school in Rio de Janeiro.
From 1992 worked as a graphic designer at various companies.
1996 to 1998 Multimedia Screen Designer for the exhibition area for the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum in Paderborn, as freelancer.
Since 2002 working full-time as a visual artist.
Since 2015 participation in artist competitions and exhibitions.
2016
Participation in the 6th European Artist Competition 2015 with appointment as European Artist.
Nominated for the Palm Art Award 2016.
Exhibition In Diversity, Cultural Association Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen.
