Artwork description / Biography

From the series: ’Into the deep’’,
In my last series I use hydrozoa as a methaphor for the principle of movement.
Stream/ flow was a main theme in my work and I discovered that in fact a jellyfish is the materialisation of movement (exist 98% of water ,oneness with water). And also is symbol of the cyclic movement of live.
The alabaster is marvelous with its transparancy and together with the form it appears as if the heavy stone is light and fluid.
I’m fascinated by the mysteries and origins of life and form.
We humans are part of nature and follow the same laws of development and growth.
I’m in search of the parallels between natural forms and human existence. I try to capture this as well as my own experiences in stone in such a way that though the image is new, it appears it has always been there.
Concentration, intensity and stillness give the sculptures an timeless radiance, as well as a crucial topicality.
