My work is an interweaving of symbols and colors, where in abstract departure, forms and elements work together mysteriously to evoke reality, most often reflecting the natural world. The forms appear on their own, without logic or rational principle, like a vision into which I enter and then follow, finding myself in an unexpected panorama. I begin the work without preconception, with quick spontaneous movements that allow me to flow freely with the brush strokes and the intersections between colors. I paint on canvas or paper, often placing it on the ground where one can travel around it, and each side of the painting can act as the base, so it can be difficult to tell the top from the bottom, the result becoming visible only at the end of the work. I use oil, acrylic, and enamel colors, favoring combinations of different techniques and colors to create unpredictable effects.
