“My inspiration evolves naturally from my surroundings. The beauty and discord found in the simplicity of everyday life, people, and events create a palette from which I create my images. A single moment captured, frozen in time, stirs my creative process.”
Mind Blown is a digital abstract created from a traditional image (digital and 35mm) using Photoshop. It is reflective of my new work created during the Pandemic.
I am a contemporary fine art photographer. Abstract photography has become the focus of my recent work. Due to the pandemic I was unable to be actively shooting images so I began to experiment. From my cache of traditional photographs both recent and previous work, I transformed them into abstract images using tools in Photoshop and other editing programs. The results create a completely different and unique image. My transformative work is both interpretive and thought provoking. It’s interesting to compare the original image with the abstract. It’s both challenging and exciting to create this new work.
Most of my traditional images are from digital and 35mm film giving them new life. All of the images exhibited have been altered with this process.
