Description of the artwork:
”The Birth of the Fairies” may also have been called the Birth of the Angels. It represents life on earth and life in heaven. It symbolizes life but also rebirth.
These little creatures, fairies and angels, cross each other, while playing, gliding, in aerial acrobatics, each one heading towards its own destination.
There is the leaving but also the coming by the birth. The whole is aerial. The flight towards an unknown but serene world, delivered of any suffering and the arrival of a small being which will fill with its laughter the silence left by the absence.
Biography:
The contemporary artist Nadia Vuillaume was born in the early sixties in Normandy (France). She grew up in the countryside, far from the artistic movements and lights of the city.
The social environment in which she evolved defined the adult she became. She learned early on the value of things, honesty, commitment, sharing... Soon she understood that energy, willpower and hard work would allow her to reach her adult dreams.
The trigger, which will guide her all her life in the artistic creation, occurred following a drawing class, when she was only 14 years old. It was then that she realized that there was a world waiting for her elsewhere.
After a transitional period where she traveled, Nadia Vuillaume returned to pictorial representation. She then successively entered in workshops of plastic artists and sculptors. With them, she understood the importance of mastering the technique, while letting the creativity express itself.
Since 2010, Nadia Vuillaume is a full-time painter artist.
Her works are the image of her person, high in colors. Most of her paintings are made with oil. She evolves between figurative and abstract without constraint or barrier.
Since 2017, the contemporary painter artist Nadia Vuillaume regularly exhibits, in solo, at the Demarez gallery in Giverny (France), next to the Claude Monet Foundation.
