This photo serie was created in Tuscany in 2021. With three related photographs, the series examines the question of what we humans give space to? To the centuries-old, stone building that embodies history and origin, or the plant, the living green organism that reaches toward the light making use of every crack and crevice, no matter how small, to thrive and live? In a triad of rich green, radiant gold, and the stone beige and gray of the buildings, the photographs pose the following question to the viewer, “what do we protect, nurture, and preserve, for the present and the future”?
