Artwork description / Biography

This is a painting in a nostalgic narrative style, where the storytelling is about simple memories of the artist’s childhood. The focus and the black & white format are creating a reference to photography. Finally, what do we still own from our past, what steers our memory, besides some old objects and photographs? In the artist’s project ”The way we were”, fragments of those photographs are reassembled into new scenes. This is one of them.
