Descrizione Opera / Biografia

This piece aims to serve as a testament to the collective grief of a community torn apart by violence and warfare, hoping to raise awareness and encourage dialogue about the humanitarian impact of such conflicts.
At the centre of the composition are three transparent and delicate fetuses suspended in the air as if floating. Their translucent bodies symbolise the fleeting presence of these unborn lives, caught in the midst of the turmoil. The fragility of their forms further highlights the sense of vulnerability and the delicate nature of existence itself.
Emerging from the back of each fetus are intricately detailed angel wings, symbolising their angelic nature and innate innocence, even in the face of tragedy. The wings serve as a powerful visual reminder of the purity and sacredness of these young lives, untainted by the conflicts and hardships of the world. They represent the hope and potential that was unjustly and untimely extinguished.
