”Archive of Beauty is an overview of everything the artist has ever preserved for survival. Instead of slides filled with false family happiness, Borms decides to archive the saving beauty and thus create an intimate self-portrait. The objects that result from this embody her chosen family. The numbering is arbitrary but not without meaning, just as beauty is subjective and can be linked to certain life stages or experiences. Language has no place in the archive. The internal dialogue is felt, and with beauty, there is no need to speak.”
