This initially charming, perhaps somewhat mystical landscape soon loses its harmlessness on closer inspection: the blazing fire speaks a clear language - it is charred forests from which smoke is still rising. A fiery gullet, as a distortion of the column of fire, sucks the scenery into its depths, as if it were to be made to disappear.
Bio
Born in 1966 in Austria, I studied landscape ecology and work in nature conservation and sustainable development. Life-long I attended lectures in Humanities, including history of arts, at Viennese universities, but I started painting only late in life (2019). I attended painting and drawing courses by Haider Al-Zubaidi and Udo Hohenberger.
