Premio Combat

Monika Nguyen studied Set Design for Stage and Film at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Parsons School of Design in New York City and at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
Her works emphasize sociocultural concerns in which she focuses on exceptional and extreme situations. Architectural environments serve as stages for interventions and narrations.
She is the winner of the Theodor Körner Prize 2009 and the Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2007.
Monika Nguyen has lived and worked as an Artist-in-Residence in Sao Paulo, Cairo, Buenos Aires, Montreal, Beijing, Istanbul and London.
