Petulia Mattioli (Roma, 1969. Vive e lavora fra la Toscana, Milano e New York). Studia illustrazione presso
l'Istituto Europeo del Design di Roma e Milano. Dal 1989 al 1996 lavora tra Roma e Milano in studi di grafica e
architettura come illustratrice e grafica, collaborando con Feltrinelli e Castelvecchi. Dal 1992 lavora su video,
fotografia digitale, grafica, installazione, scenografie e multivisioni create in real time utilizzando ogni mezzo e
linguaggio, dal video alla materia. Tra i dieci artisti segnalati dalla critica in occasione della Biennale dei
Giovani Artisti del 1998. Nel 1998 vince il concorso Arti Visive 2 ed i suoi lavori vengono esposti al Palazzo
Ducale di Genova. Fra le mostre ricordiamo quelle presso Palazzo delle Papesse - Centro Arte
Contemporanea - Siena (2003-2004-2007), Complesso Museale Villa Arbusto - Ischia (2007), Castello

Segno - Roma (1998). Dal 1994, anno in cui fonda Verba Corrige production insieme al musicista e produttore
Eraldo Bernocchi, realizza installazioni e multivisioni basandosi sulla totale interazione tra arte e musica, come
unico linguaggio. Realizza progetti grafici, scenografie, light design, installazioni multimediali esposte dal vivo
sul palco in spazi e teatri con musicisti quali: Eraldo Bernocchi, Bill Laswell, Toshinori Kondo, Harold Budd,
Nils Petter Molvaer, Thomas Fehlmann, Dj Disk, Raiz, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti e progetti come: Somma
(con i Monaci Tibetani), Ashes, Sigillum S, Tabla beat Science, Black Engine in Italia, Francia, Germania,
Stati Uniti e Canada.
Petulia Mattioli (Roma, 1969. Lives and works between Tuscany, Milan and New York). Studies illustration at

From 1989 to 1996 works between Rome and Milan in an architecture and graphic studio studio as illustrator

photography, graphic design, installation, set designs and real-time multivisions using every media and
language, from video to material. Among the ten recommended artists at the Biennale dei Giovani Artisti in
1998. In 1998 wins the italian national competition Arti Visive 2 and her works are on show at the Palazzo
Ducale in Genoa.

From 1994, year when she creates Verba Corrige production together with the musician and producer Eraldo
Bernocchi, creates installations and multivisions installazioni based on the total interaction between art and
music, as a single language. Creates scenography/stage designs, light designs, multimedia live on stage and
video installations exhibited in spaces and theatres with musicians like Eraldo Bernocchi, Bill Laswell,
Toshinori Kondo, Harold Budd, Nils Petter Molvaer, Dj Disk, Raiz, Somma (with Tibetan Monks), Ashes,
Sigillum S, Tabla beat Science, Black Engine in Italy, France, Germany, USA and Canada.

- previously designed by Armando Testa.
In 2000 she became member of AIAP, the Italian Association for Visual Communication and Design
Project, receiving an european honorary title of “professional graphic designer” from BEDA: Bureau of
European Designers Associations.
