Winners of Combat Prize 2012

The 30th of June PREMIO COMBAT PRIZE 2012 has finished its third edition that took place at the fabulous location of Museo Civico Fattori ex Granai di Villa Mimbelli. The winners have been picked out focusing on new talents with an original overview and innovative research.

The jury composed of Francesca Baboni, Laura Barreca, Martina Cavallarin, Giuseppe Donnaloia, Heinrich Heil, Angela Madesani, Stefano Taddei has selected the winner of Painting category, Bo Christian Larsson, thanks to his new prospective as a result of the fusion between drawing and painting. From the jury point of view, this artwork is also interesting for the connection with the north European culture and his related particular style.
The jury has also appreciated Maria Elisabetta Novello which has been placed second.

The jury announced Giovanni Mantovani as the winner of Photography category, because of the pursuit of his poetry and the artistic sensibility behind his artwork. Special mention for Benedetta Alfieri and Pietro Iori.

For the Graphic category the prize has been awarded to Radenko Milak for his topical research linked to the history of his native country. Moreover this artwork has been judged interesting for its high-level technique. According to the jury, Davide Balliano has been placed second.

The Under 35 prize has been assigned to Francesca Cirilli who won a two-months scholarship in Berlin. The artist has been ranked as the best choice for this unique opportunity aimed to improve her artistic skills and cultural awareness. Special mention to Alessandro Esposito.
