Three interesting opportunities enhance the sixth edition of the PREMIO COMBAT PRIZE:
two artist residences under 35 for two months in Berlin and Livorno and one artist residence for 45 days without age limits in Florence within the Special Prizes section, created in order to promote an international exchange of experience between artists, curators and the coordinators of each residential program.

Berlin artist in residence

The artist in residence program at the GlogauAIR cultural center of Berlin represents a huge opportunity to find new sources of inspiration for the individual research inside a lively and variegated urban context, widely recognized as a pioneer city for contemporary arts and culture. At the same time, the Berlin residency project will offer a possible cultural debate with other artists from different social and geographical backgrounds and it will give visibility to personal artworks, through a final exhibition organised inside the spaces provided by Glogau AIR.

Florence artist in residence

The artist residence in Florence at the prestigious Foundation Il Bisonte for the study of printmaking represents an important opportunity to experiment and acquire new knowledge inside a cultural context whose laboratories have been animated by artists like Annigoni, Calder, Moore, Picasso, Maccari, Severini and Sutherland. Il Bisonte is a school of Specialization in Graphic Arts and, at the same time, a cultural centre, printery and gallery, and in its tradition there is the effort to keep the historical printing techniques alive. At the end of the residence, the artist will realise a graphic edition in accordance with Foundation Il Bisonte and Blob ART Cultural Association.

Livorno artist in residence

The new residence in Livorno, coordinated by Blob ART cultural Association, responds to the challenge of developing a specific site project, able to show and restart the local cultural heritage, through an innovative point of view and a deeper mutual understanding between art and community. During the residence, the artist will work together with a curator and at the end of the program there will be a final exhibition at the Sala degli Archi within Livorno City Hall.
