Born in England and of English and Greek-Cypriot descent, Tomblin now lives in Nicosia, Cyprus.
He has received a 1st class BA Hons degree in Graphic Design (specialization, Illustration) from Leicester Polytechnic UK, and an MA with commendation from De Montfort University UK, in Design and Manufacture. A noted painter and Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, his art has received international exposure in juried and invited exhibitions and in public and private collections worldwide including Albania, Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Cyprus, Egypt, Finland, Italy, Lebanon, Romania, UK and USA. He participated in the last Beijing Art Biennale.
Tomblin is also an active member of OFAA (Olympia Fine Art Association), E.KA.TE (The Cyprus Chamber of Fine Arts) -E.KA.TE is a member of the International Association of Art (IAA) and represents IAA in Cyprus- and Visual Artists Association, Cyprus.
He was awarded the Olympic gold medal for participation in the Creative Cities Collection, Olympic Fine Arts 2012 LONDON, 1st – 7th August 2012, Barbican Art Centre London, UK and the 2nd Art Water Cube Cup from the WATER CUBE, Olympic Fine Arts Beijing. December 7th 2012 – His artwork at the Permanent exhibition as part of the WATER CUBE collection, Beijing China.
