Descrizione Opera / Biografia

Current Practice
Genèvre’s solo art practice takes three forms, in sculpture, installation and soundscapes. As half of the collaborative duo, ‘Emanate’, she has been active in creating interactive installation and soundscape works.
Recent sculptural projects have included new works for an ongoing series of led-lit light sculptures, hand crafted from wood, paper and polypropylene sheets. Other three dimensional works primarily involve the creation of three dimensional forms that are framed and hung on the wall. These ‘sculptures’ are made from traditional paper cutting techniques, used on 300gsm card, that is then worked onto with a broad variety of acrylic mediums.
The second form is installation, which is presented as a solo artist and also under the banner of a collaborative duo: Emanate. As a solo artist, the larger scale installation works feature sculptures
with led lighting and custom made sound scapes. For the Emanate installations, the works are designed for the viewer to physically interact with the works, employing sound and haze machines.
The final medium, sound scapes, are created in parallel with the artworks. Emphasising the intended mood, by adding gravitas to the content of the installations. They are made from high quality sound files.
