Artwork Description
The Neon sculpture is a three dimensional form of light drawing made on night time journeys using cameras to capture images of passing vehicles and the light of the city. I deconstruct the light drawings and then rebuild the transient lines beans of light into three dimensional forms
Bio
I studied from 1996 to 1999 at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design University College (now the UCA), specialising for one year in 3D Design and two years in Fine Art. I continued my training in Dallas Texas in 2009, studying neon glass skills; developing my long term interest in neon. Now based in Northern Ireland, I have been continually exploring my own visual language using the medium of light, exploring issues of boundaries and behavioral patterns.
