Rasa Sulca
”The challenge of Rasa Sulca paintings is to reflect the spiritual world through the physical body of human being. Images are placed in rather conditional space thus creating an impression that instead of being an individual moment in space and time. The very time and space are fixed as such. This generalized view is very important to Rasa as artist try to confer a particular metaphysical reality to the paintings where there is seemingly nothing special - just one or more persons in a common space. At the same time Rasa Sulca want to create a powerful, indefinable, over-real mood in the given space. Therefore painter finds that consciously analytical and research work at the paintings is related to the search of means of expression and images which would create this over-reality.
Images of artist’s paintings are not actually ideals or strangers. They are rather the objects of examination. Nonetheless the main task of paintings is to get spectators involved with what exists behind the image rather than its’ visual appearance. Always outward appearance is shape of inner activities of image.”
