Artwork description / Biography

Renata Franzky
Renata Franzky works as a freelance artist in Munich, Germany. In its spacious interiors in her studio in Munich she works with techniques such as acrylic, oil, woodcut and lithography with topics such as figure, human being, everyday life, loneliness, isolation but also soulfulness in gestures of daily life. She concentrates on spaces, colours and lines. Thereby the line adopts the graphical layer true to the motto “the line is the human itself”.
How can painting reach people today? How can the artist’s message touch the heart of the viewer? Is it still possible in an overwhelmingly digital world?
Renata Franzky shows us her way to respond to this subject. She explores the bright but also the gray side of everyday life in gutsy and expressive steps. She discovers the unexpected, seizes upon it and transfers it in her unmistakable style to an awaiting canvas. Through an exhaustive process the image is formed and worked up. It finds its way out and takes shape. Tangled lines are captured on the canvas with impressive passion. Agitated brushstrokes grow dense to form contours. Sharply defined expanses of colors lead to new yet familiar objects.
