Descrizione Opera / Biografia

Artwork description:
I use a technique called “Super-realism” which is as highly realistic as photography, and I think it is the most characteristic aspect of my work. But I regard this technique not as a goal, but as a “means” of expressing my theme. The main theme I am working with is “Painting” itself. My cultural mission is to update a long history of Art and Painting with a contemporary power, I think. I create my works by referring to famous paintings of old masters, and by mixing contemporary elements with my own idea about feminity.
