Descrizione Opera / Biografia

Artwork description:
Shadow sculpture installation. The abstract forms of the sculptures are lit and cast the shadow of the figures on the wall. The lips of the two figures are moving, whispering the words ’’Agapa me, Parata me’’ (in greek Αγάπα με- Παράτα με) which means ’’Love me - Leave me’’ creating a continuous dialogue between them. Exploring the contrasts in human relationships, the work presents a vicious circle, a loop of demands between people. The resemblance of the two figures suggests an inner dialogue but also shows that beyond matter, all people’s needs are identical. Everyone wants to be loved, and everyone wants to be left alone.
