Walter Guadagnini, was born in Trentino in 1961 - but turinese roots - is rightly regarded as a key figure in Italy, in the panorama of photography. He directed from 1995 to 2005 the Galleria Civica di Modena, leading for eight years - until 2003 - the review Modena per la fotografia. Professor of History of Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna since 1992, he has curated important exhibitions in museums and institutions ranging from MAMBo Bologna to Strozzina of Florence, the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome at Palazzo Blu in Pisa. In 2007 is Commissaire unique at Paris Photo for the section dedicating to Italy. He is creator and curator of the history of photography series published by Skira in 4 volumes from 2011 to 2014, with the contribution of the most important international historians and critics of photography. He is responsible since 2006 of the photography section of the Giornale dell’Arte and from 2015 he works alongside Diane Dufour and Elio Grazioli in the artistic direction of the international festival Fotografia Europea in Reggio Emilia. From 2016 he is director of Camera centro per la Fotografia italiano.
Lorenzo Bruni (born in Florence) is a critic and independent curator. In 2013, he's working on a project to be shown at the KCCC museum in Klaipeda, Lithuania, about a series of exhibitions titled "Traveling and Trip", as being curator for the archive young Sicilian artists of the Museum of Palermo RISO and have started a new collaboration with the APT Foundation. In 2012 he inaugurated the new Binnenkant21 Art Foundation in Amsterdam with the exhibition entitled "excuse me ... but where am I?". In 2011 he was one of the selected curators for the Premio Furla for young Italian artists and he began an intense collaboration with the Enrico Astuni Gallery in Bologna, for which he's working on: a collective exhibit on the modernity of the performance, one about the reason collective exhibits are made and one on the comparison on the concept of landscape. Among the many projects made abroad, a few need to be mentioned: a travel-themed exhibit titled "Sarah's Travel" for the Varna Biennale in Bulgaria in 2008; and an exhibit on the romantic aspect of conceptual art from the 70s to today, titled "What is my name?" for HISK, Ghent in Belgium. From 2006 to 2009 he plans and directs the program linked to the heritage of modernism of Via Nuova in Florence, while from 2004 to 2005 he curates a cycle of three exhibits for the Galleria Civica in Castel San Pietro Terme (BO), and from 2001 to 2004 he's a curator for the Fondazione Lanfranco Baldi, Pelago (FI). From 2000 to today he's the coordinator of the exhibition activities of the non-profit space founded by a collective of artists, called BASE / progetti per l'arte. He also writes essays for several monographic catalogues, among these the ones for the Galleria Poggiali and Forconi in Florence, he collaborates with Italian magazines Arte e Critica and Flash Art.
Lorenzo Balbi (Torino, 1982. Lives and works in Torino) is assistant curator at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo. He graduated from Ca' Foscari University in Venice with a BA in Fine Art and Conservation of Cultural Heritage and from the University of Turin with an MA in Contemporary Art History. His texts and articles were published by several reviews and magazines, including: Il Giornale dell'Arte, Inside Art, Artribune, Mousse, La Stampa, Exibart, ATP Diary, Il Giornale dell'Architettura. He was artistic director at Verso Artecontemporanea Gallery in Turin, an exhibition space devoted to the research on emerging artists from South-East Asia. Recently he was part of the board of Nesxt, Indipendent Art Festival, curator of the Live Program for DAMA, the new experimental fair for emerging international galleries, and curator of the Pomilio Blumm Prize, prize for contemporary artists made in collaboration with Magnolia and Sky Arte HD. Assistant curator since 2007 at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, he teaches Curatorial Methodology at Campo Course for Curators (www.fsrr.org/campo) and he works on the exhibition projects for the institution in both venues of Torino and Guarene d'Alba. His works is expecially focused on the exhibitions of the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection abroad. Among his curated shows: Neve chimica (Casa Olimpia, Sestriere, 2012); Riikka Kuoppala. La casa di biscotti (Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino, 2013); Thomas Teurlai. Parole e angurie (Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino, 2015); Spin-Off (Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, Quito, 2015); Daniel Frota. Irrealis Mood (Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino, 2016). After working for the project as an assistant to former coordinators Ilaria Bonacossa (in 2009) and Stefano Collicelli Cagol (in 2011 and 2012), in 2005 he became curator and coordinator of the Young Curators Residency Programme (www.fsrr.org/ycrp).
Francesca Baboni. Lives in Correggio (Re). Graduated in classical studies with art history program from the University of Bologna, she is an art critic, art historian and independent curator. For several years she has been curating solo and group exhibitions of contemporary artists for private spaces, with a particular focus on painting and photograph. She has been a contributor to many art periodicals and she is currently editor for Artribune magazine. She collaborates with Correggio Art Home, a study center dedicated to the painter Antonio Allegri known as Correggio, and she is a member of the board of directors of Fondazione Il Correggio, which oversees its activities.
Elio Grazioli, contemporary art and photography critic, teaches History of Contemporary Art at the University and the Academy of Fine Arts of Bergamo. He is co-editor, with Marco Belpoliti, of the the "Riga" book series for the Marcos y Marcos publishing house, and editor of the "Imm' series for Moretti & Vitali. He works with Walter Guadagnini and Diane Dufour as artistic director of the Fotografia Europea festival in Reggio Emilia. He has published several books including: Figura e corpo umano nella fotografia (1998), Arte e pubblicità (2001), La polvere nell'arte (2004), Piero Manzoni (2007), Ugo Mulas (2010), Davide Mosconi (2014), Duchamp oltre la fotografia (2017).
Andrea Bruciati (Corinaldo, 1968), ha ottenuto la laurea in storia dell’arte contemporanea, scrivendo una tesi su Lucio Fontana e Piero Manzoni. Dal 2002, è direttore artistico del GC. AC di Monfalcone, e dal 2012 direttore artistico di Art Verona. Ha collaborato con diverse riviste specialistiche ed ha partecipato attivamente al dibattito sulla creazione di un network nazionale di ricerca e formazione d’arte contemporanea. Si è inoltre occupato della (interessato alla) promozione internazionale della nuova generazione di artisti italiani che lavorano nel nostro, avviando il premio d’arte contemporanea MOROSO, il network Argonauti, e la diffusione dei nuovi media. Il suo lavoro per il museo include la progettazione di format come: lab. it, videoREPORT, prima visione, 40, L’immagine sottile, Fruz, Past Forward, On Stage, Message in a Bottle; So Fresh!, studiovisit. it, and Where the West Ends. Tra le esibizioni che ha organizzato ci sono: Ouverture: Art from Italy (2002); Painting Codes (2006); Arrivals and Departures Europe: a new generation of artists (2010); 00 ITALIA: 100 masterpieces for a hypothesis of History (2012), Yellowing of the Lunar Consciousness (2013); visions for an inventory (2014); The Rooms of Aragon (2015), Morandi and Agnetti: difference and repetition (2016) and Versus (2016).
Stefano Taddei. Born in Vignola (MO) and he lives in Albinea (RE). He gained a degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage - Contemporary Field from the University of Parma. He is an art critic and an independent curator.
