Artwork description / Biography

The painting shows ”Juanita” one of the victims calls ”frozen virgins”. They were found on the top of the montains Andes in Argentina and Peru. The Inca priests sacrificed virgins on the peaks for better harvests or rain. They were stunned and buried with grave goods in pits where they were preserved as ice mummies. Some of them can be seen in museums today. I have seen in Peru and was very impressed. Their destiny was my inspiration.
