Water has many faces.
Most of the time, we only see our seas and rivers as monotonous, smooth surfaces. This familiar image changes through the perspective from the air. You can see the water actually rushing in and the white wash being formed, the lighter white areas are sand banks and the varying colours and shades are partly due to depth and flow.
