Descrizione Opera / Biografia

The artwork “The Garden’s Afternoon” is a watercolor piece and is part of a larger project that documents signs of dwelling—traces of human habitation in both urban and rural spaces. In this particular case, the shadow of a gate cast onto the snow is the main element I focused on. Shadows also fascinate me through their beauty and through their symbolism of ephemerality and disappearance, qualities that ultimately define the human condition.
