Gaia, Terra Mater - oil/acrylic/canvas/own technique - This latest painting of mine is meant to encourage an individual reading of symbolism and reflection on one’s own concept of time. I hope that my work is not only an interesting composition, but also an invitation to a philosophical journey into one’s own reflections on the transience of moments and the impermanence of life. It is an undeniable reality that we are at a critical juncture. Our Earth has been a resilient host to life for centuries, but it is no secret that it is facing challenges like never before. The signs are all around us - a changing climate, declining biodiversity and the scars of human impact on our environment.
I was born in 1959 in Chorzów. I began my artistic journey by completing an art school, obtaining a diploma in metalwork and painting. I started my adventure with art from sculpture and stage design. I executed musical performances, concerts, television theaters, and films, working at Polish Television in Katowice.
My fascination with computer technology resulted in works with digital image technology, computer animations, and digital design. I express myself through photography, computer animation, and digital design, combining painting and drawing techniques with digital imagery. The incorporation of digital technology into my artistic practice has changed my creativity and opened up new possibilities in artistic creation. It is important to perceive digital technology as a tool that enhances creativity and reach, rather than as a threat to traditional art forms. I am not afraid to experiment.
I exhibit my paintings in the USA, France, Italy, Germany, and recently also in the United Arab Emirates. My painting is based on old technologies as well as new digital arts. The availability and knowledge of digital technologies open up new possibilities for combining contemporary painting technologies. I often use photography or photographic sketches as the concept for my painting.
In recent exhibitions, I presented several of my paintings, including the painting titled ”Journey into the depths of pain relief” - Presentation of this journey is my vision of the other side of the universe gate, and the oil painting on canvas ”My Dubai - Bismillah” was presented at the exhibition in Dubai, the 8th Salon of Art at Musse de Peinture (France), as well as Art Galleries in Laguna Beach, and California, USA. In earlier years, I painted and exhibited my paintings in local Polish art galleries. The summary of that period was an exhibition at the International Interpress Art Gallery in Warsaw. This summary exhibition was preceded by various local presentations of my work in both painting and stage design.
I publish my paintings on popular social media platforms like FB, (X) Twitter, Instagram, as well as on my website/blog. I sign and exhibit my works under my own name.
In my paintings, I talk about the other side of the material world - about something deeper, bigger than ourselves. I seek a metaphysical world that is within each of us. I bring the surreal world closer to the viewer combined with philosophical sentences. I want my work to transport viewers to the other side of the material world and allow them to reflect on something deeper and greater than our everyday lives, allowing a glimpse into the universe’s interior. Where do we come from, where are we, where are we going, we set off on a journey in search of a land we do not know, we walk through sun and rain because we are all the same people. I am interested in African art and Islamic art. I travel and visit countries in the Arabian Peninsula and Africa. Traveling always inspires me and is the engine for working on new cycles of paintings.
