Descrizione Opera / Biografia

Drawing from her anatomical background, Giorgia Roversi reimagines internal organs as vibrant, surreal still lifes filled with color, texture, and symbolism. Her works are not scientific but emotional, using anatomy as a starting point for a shift in perception. She transforms what is typically seen as unsettling into something luminous and engaging, challenging the viewer’s instinct to look away. This transformation becomes a metaphor for accepting the darker, often avoided parts of ourselves. Blending references to classical still life with contemporary digital aesthetics, her work exists between tradition and the hypermodern.
The Cathartic Atrium represents
the heart as a place of emotional
release and purification. In this
dreamlike vision, the heart’s
atrium becomes the center of a
cathartic process, where repressed
emotions and profound feelings find
expression and transformation.
The Cathartic Atrium invites the
viewer to reconnect with their
deepest essence, rediscover the
roots of their existence, and feel the
powerful life force flowing within.
