Girls who sacrificed themselves to the dragon
Canvas, acrylic
40 × 50
2023
This painting was inspired by a fairy tale about a dragon terrorizing a city; out of fear, the townspeople sacrificed girls to the dragon. This metaphor can be understood through personal experience and applied to contemporary events. The artist is characterized by symbolism that evolves into surrealism. A free drawing style, lightness of brushwork, and expressiveness are typical of this author. It is important for the artist that the brushstroke and mood are felt. When viewing this artist’s works, one often encounters literary interpretations, historical events, and human fragility.
